Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree

I stopped playing Baldur's Gate 3 (D&D, but a video game) and listening to Dimension 20: Fantasy High (D&D, but a Dropout TV show) to read this book (D&D, but a book). I would love to see either a one-page RPG or a setting book for 5e based in this realm. Some parts definitely dragged a little, with a lot of descriptions of food, but that's because that's a hallmark of the cozy genre. All-in-all, I enjoyed the story and I want to be Durias when I grow up.

I found this book to be very romantic, but definitely not a romance novel. While the romance itself is very slow and chaste and the plot itself is the focus of the book, it still had a lot of the hallmarks that I enjoy in romance novels. For me, the most romantic element was the found family along the way.
