Catching Summer by L.P. Dover

5.0

I really loved this book, it was emotional, sweet, full of very likable characters and even had a little sprinkling of suspense. Basically everything I love in a L.P Dover novel.

This story features Summer a friend of Mason Bradley (From Meant for Me) Whose husband Austin an MMA fighter was brutally murdered in front of her. Two years later, Summer is living with her twin sister Lara in North Carolina and co owns a restaurant with Austin's brother Grayson. Summer also has a great group of friends, including some players from the Carolina Cougars, but only a few know of her past including her friends brother and Wide Receiver Evan. Who has long held out hope that Summer when ready will fall for him. However, not everyone is happy to see Summer moving on, especially with Evan and it soon becomes clear that someone is determined to tear them apart.

Overall, this was a really great story, it kept me hooked and I really loved how the relationship developed between Evan and Summer, and how Evan embraced Austin's memory and understood he would always be a part of Summer. And I would happily recommend this book to others and can't wait to read more from this series in the future.
