Hands up for a quite pleasantly surprising book which I was not expecting to enjoy! This book was something I never ever would’ve picked up myself (purely for the fact it’s set in the 1600’s and that’s just not my style), however I was quite impressed with this book overall. The storyline was interesting and engaging and also had some twists in there that I wasn’t expecting which kept me interested throughout. Some bits I didn’t enjoy as much due to the 1600 style language (which as I said isn’t my usual vibe) but it was still a very interesting read. I would still however give this book 3 stars only as it’s just not reaaalllly my kind of thing, but still a good and engaging read and if you love this type of book I think you will enjoy this!!
