If you’re in the mood for silly, this book is for you. So Emily works in a museum restoring art pieces after a bad divorce. Griffin was originally a knight who was cursed to become a statue. The entire premise is silly but a lot of fun. The dialogue is funny and light hearted and because of Griffin’s fish out of water situation, we get a number of misunderstandings and miscommunication moments that are humorous and critical to the plot.
I think this is a perfect novel to kind of check out of reality for a few hours. The dialogue is enjoyable and the plot for the most part moves fairly quickly. There is very little while they won’t they. From the very beginning it’s clear that they are into each other. Emily does have a few insecurities given her recent divorce and cheating ex, but Griffin is really sweet and quick to come to her defense.
