For the final installment of the Green Creek series, I was expecting a gut-wrenching, ugly-crying finale—but it didn’t quite deliver the way the first three books did.

Told from Carter’s POV (I was hoping for Gavin’s), the storyline felt a bit too much like a repeat of book two. Honestly, much of this book could have been wrapped into an extended version of book three, in my opinion.

That said, I can’t stress enough how much I loved this series as a whole. Green Creek is an emotional rollercoaster, filled with queer representation and a light fantasy vibe that’s absolutely perfect. I’ll definitely be buying the entire series in hardback—and every TJ Klune book, for that matter.
