I love it when a fictional book feels real. To me, that tells me it’s incredibly written and the author does a wonderful job immersing you in the story. I accidentally read this in one(ish) sitting which doesn’t happen often! This is my first TJR book and I can’t wait to read more!!

CW: because this book is based on the late 60s early 70s there lots of discussion of drug/alcohol abuse.

I honestly think TJR did a marvelous job bringing to light the over glamorization of these struggles during this time period while not making it very glamorous for the characters.

The format of the book was a bit different and took a minute to get used to but I honestly loved it. I just felt like I was reading a transcript from an actual interview (I know that was kinda the point)

Highly recommend this book!
