I feel like I just had a big, warm hug with a touch of autumn kiss lol. I’m the worst at describing my feelings but that’s really how this book made me feel. Three Kisses, One Midnight has essentially three novellas following three separate main characters that are all celebrating Halloween at the same party and are all the best of friends just trying to find true love. One is cynical, one is mystical and one is just too stinking adorable to not love. I really have a hard time deciding which story line was my favorite.
I do know that Sonny’s story (the first one), sets the autumn and Halloween vibes PERFECTLY as we begin this book. I GENUINELY felt like it was a fall day while I sat outside sweating in the august heat while reading this lol but as I start this, I found myself swept away picturing towns like the ones in Halloween Town and Hocus Pocus. I’m arguably one of Autumn’s biggest supporters (JK Ahah) but for real, I’m a huge fan so just how it was described here made me instantly fall in love with this book.
Then came each story line full of intriguing characters, cinnamon rolls, sunshine X sunshine, rivals, pining.. the list could go on lol but I just found each story so fun and interesting. I will say the last novella, which is True’s was definitely insta-lovey ( which I’m not a fan of) BUT it almost felt more like destiny rather then immediately falling for the first guy True meets lol
Overall, such a fantastic cinnamon roll of a book about small town lore, true love and a bit of pure magic that isn’t fully explained (which I loved)! Definitely for fans of YA (the younger side) romance or cute fall themed reads!
