This has Shug vibes in terms of it being extremely harrowing but also full of tenderness.
Objectively very good and a great perspective to learn more about. I like the focus on relationships with older queers and how they are so transformative and the necessity of having that kind of cycle. I feel like we got all kinds of relationships from the good (brother, Margarita), bad (Porky), and complex (Jay, parents). Interesting touch on class struggles and how that affected the family's ability to connect.
Young love with Jay was very sweet.
