The Story of Art without Men by Katy Hessel

challenging informative inspiring reflective relaxing sad fast-paced

4.0

A book that very effectively does it's job of introducing the reader to non-male artists from around the world throughout history who have had their place in the artistic canon ignored because of their gender, as well as by their race and/or sexuality. By its nature, this can't go into too much depth, but is a great starting point for further research. I do not recommend reading this on audiobook because that made looking up names difficult.
