A Natural Curiosity by Margaret Drabble
3.5

Quite enjoyed Drabble's state of the nation novel, though a bit irked by her need to invent a northern city when so many of her London set seem to rooted.

Lots of keen observations and bits of wry humour - perhaps most effecting in it's bursts of character and life (Shirley's flight to Paris, Liz's TV appearance) rather than as a whole.
