I am glad I got this from the library because if I spent my own money on this, I’d be pissed. I hate-finished this book. I wanted to DNF several times. The FMC is one of the most insufferable, aggravating character I’ve ever read. She thinks she’s Billy Badass but she makes random assumptions and then treats it as fact. She has terrible instincts and is seemingly incapable of thinking of how her actions affect others, extremely selfish. At one point,
her cousin is literally kidnapped and she’s flirting with Whit, oh can you do my corset? Oh  I have issues? I don’t think so. Do you have issues? What are they? PEOPLE ARE DYING KIM
And she continued to literally repeat the exact same mistakes over and over again. The romance was dead boring. Individual moments between them should have been (and would have been in any other book with any other couple) swoon worthy but these two have no chemistry whatsoever. I’m a pretty emotional person, I cry very often in books and shows, but I didn’t shed a tear for a single person in this book. Only reason this isn’t 1 star is because I liked exploring Cleopatra’s tomb.
