i LOVED the first two books and had high expectations for this book that were quickly squashed. it jumped around in the timeline a lot, there wasnt much character development, just these characters we already kinda knew going through the motions to move the plotline ahead. i did find the connections from throughout the triology really nice, however some of the finishing pieces of the book were incredibly frustrating and it changed the whole theme of the triology. i also found jeri’s character and reaction to their identity poorly done, you would have thought in this thunderhead world there wouldn’t be transphobia however most of the interactions with people of power meeting jeri were negative. if you’re considering reading this triology, the third book makes it not worth it at all.
Moderate: Transphobia
genderfluid character called strange and disgusting by characters in power.
