dark mysterious sad

3.75

This book was a lot darker than I expected. (Check CN before reading!!) It was a basically a study on all the horrible ways men abuse and oppress women across time. I thought the author weaved the 3 story lines really well even though their timelines didn’t overlap chronologically. The mystery unravelled in a really smart way across the three separate narratives and fed you the right information at the right time. I usually get bored when you have to jump perspective so much but I think it really worked here.
