I asked for recs from y’all and I’m proud of myself for actually following through lol. This one interested me in its structure and execution. It feels very “of this time,” like someone decided to turn a true crime podcast into a novel. The audiobook even used multiple narrators and phone recording sound effects for some interviews. This crossover genre might appeal to a wider audience, which I think is a good thing! It’s not the best writing I’ve ever read, but it was entertaining. I saw one part of the ending a mile away, but the rest was a good twist!
