Tropes/Triggers: dubious concent, RH MMMF (Potential for MMMMF later)

Okay, imma skip the recap plot cause the blurb pree much covers it. However, I did like the take on it. The "boogymen" are born from human emotions e.g. possessive, deception etc. And feed off human emotions.

The FMC, I get some don't like her and find her selfish cause she ran from home, didn't return when her mum died and only came back 12 years later when her dad was sick. But I kinda get it. She told her parents there were monsters under her bed. Visiting her each night. They didn't believe her (okay who would?) But when her health deteriorated because of stress, fear and lack of sleep. At the very least that could be night terrors. And they refused to get her a night light. Idk bout you guys, but I'd of bought it for my kid. Ridiculous or not if it helped I'd of forked out the what 30 bucks? So no I didn't like her parents.

Spoiler
Now, I did figure out the Lost Heir plot the second it was mentioned - that twist I saw coming. I mean who write what they did about Mark if he wasn't going to be central character. So it was kinda obvious that he was the Lost Heir. Also, who waits 12 years? In a world talking about mates, kind of obvious that was a reason behind it. I am a little mad however that the ending ended where it did I mean come on haha that felt like it cut off mid sentence almost
