Tides of Torment was not for me. It took me 10 days to read, which is such a long time for me. I could not get into the story or stay engaged. I think part of the problem was that the plot was sooo drawn out and slow. The other part was that I straight up hated Sereia. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever hated another FMC as much. Besides her serious NLOG vibes, she was too masculine for me. Travion was like her whipping boy. I didn’t feel the chemistry between them at all. What Travion does at the end is completely stupid and unforgivable, and made him an unredeemable character for me. I have an ARC of the third book in the series ready and waiting for me, but I have to do some serious hyping to make myself read it, if I read it at all.

I received a copy of Tides of Torment for free from BookSirens, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
