I've been wanting to read this series for so long, and I finally started. The first book is a little slow to start, but it's necessary for the plot and world building. Once the story gets going, you are fully emerged into The Zodiac Academy and Solaria, which include astrological themes and beautiful descriptions. The story itself is action packed, spicy, thrilling, and unputdownable. I loved the character, relationships, and storyline. It has aspects similar to Twilight, Harry Potter, and Fourth Wing (which I know was written after this), but is unique and inspiring story of its own. I'm excited to continue the series with my Booksta besties and dive fully into the zodiac world! I recommend this book/series if you like or are interested in fantastical worlds, thrilling stories, and a bit of spice. I would've liked to have seen a bit more world building/explanations because it does get confusing at times, and I thought the ending was a bit abrupt. However, I know it will lead into book two smoothly and was most likely necessary. A warning about triggers: the bullying is STRONG throughout the entire book and the story involves some grief and trauma.
