The History of Bees
by Maja Lunde
I liked this one.
It follows 3 different people - past, present(ish), and future - and the history of bees. 🐝 🍯
While I wouldn’t solely classify it as a dystopian novel, it does paint a fairly grim picture of what could happen to our world without the help of these little guys.
I loved how the writer wove these three time periods together by the end of the book. I found myself interested in each of the 3 narratives, though I found it a little annoying that their voices all sounded the same.
The writing style is simple, yet impactful. There were a few lulls, but by the end of the book, every piece was important. 🐝🌈🌺
