The only thing that made me give this a four star read is that I have grown tired of authors doing the unassuming hero trope. You can have heroes (or heroines) that look the part of the hero. Still, this was a great book to read and I did love learning about Hindu/Indian mythology, and the characters were well written and I did fall in love with all of them.

It's going to take some time, but I am looking forward to reading the second book in this series! Aru Shah is definitely a very endearing heroine.
