Any mystery where Poirot is stumped is worth a few stars. Unfortunately, I remembered the premise from the tv episode and so I was not, but I guess it's fun to be one-up on the detective. It was nice to not have Poirot's usual gloating over everyone else for the entire book, and the characters were well drawn.
