I have to say this is a little overhyped. I don't think it's a bad book by any means, I enjoyed my time with it but it was a little predictable. Once you find out the first major plot twist - which happens pretty early on - it gets a little dry. The only saving grace for me is that I grew attached enough to Evelyn's character and her story to care about how it ended. I was devastated when my favourite husband died though. The character of Monique didn't add anything for me though. Overall it was good but not great, I doubt I'll be picking up any more of this author's works in the future, having now read two and not loving either.
