The Bell Jar
by Sylvia Plath
The Bell Jar was an odd read for me. Not something I’d usually choose. But I’ve read Ariel so I thought why not.
To some people, Esther’s story seems boring and confusing, but it really struck home with me. In some moments I cried for her. Because I’ve been there in the past. Not quite as extreme, but nearly. I could really relate to her and it broke my heart to see someone like that. A real eye opener.
I only rated it 4 instead of 5 stars because the story kept jumping which got confusing for me. I loved it other than that.
