A Daddy For Christmas: A DD/LG Romance
by Haley Monroe
4 star review
A Daddy for Christmas is a DD/lg Romance standalone novel by Haley Monroe. The first thing I will say about this book is definitely take the authors warning and if this type of book is not for you then pass it by. I will reiterate what the author says when she states that no character in this book is related! I will admit this is not my usual type of book in so much as that I’ve read many books involving BDSM but nothing with age play but I like to step out of my comfort zone every so often and try something new and whilst I don’t think I would choose to read a book with age play in it again I cannot fault the way in which the book was written. The BDSM scenes were well written and when I overlooked what they called each other I really enjoyed it! I thought that the story flowed well and I did like the characters, I thought that for a shorter book the characters developed well especially Brook – there was just enough background for both the lead characters that mean I understood where they were coming from. I also think that the age play was explained well in the book and by the end my understanding of why the characters chose this type of BDSM play was a little clearer.
The story is about Brook who just plainly does not want to be an adult! She cannot hold down a job or any kind of adult responsibility. She is a brat and proud of it! Grayson is the complete opposite of Brook; he’s driven, firm, respectful and relentless. She needs a place to stay and he needs a roommate – except Brook doesn’t fully realise the implications of becoming Grayson’s roommate!
I did find Grayson on the hot side and if he had been in BDSM Book with a dom/sub storyline with no age play I would have loved him even more!
If you like reading DD/lg then you will not be disappointed by this book!
