Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
5.0
Ninth House takes place at Yale, which I’m already obsessed (tysm Gilmore girls). I have sympathy for Alex, our main character, it’s not easy to walk away from an addiction. I don’t think I necessarily found this book to be slow, it made me crave more in this series.
I didn’t guess the plot at all. All the twists and the turns, I was pleasantly surprised. It’s sometimes difficult to find a book where I haven’t guessed the plot line and twists by the midway of the novel.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets and monitors the campus’s secret societies, add a little bit of human murder and less vampire.
