So I’ve had a bit of a wild ride with this book because I basically read it twice. The first time, I listened to the audiobook. Then I found out that the book was rewritten, so I read the ebook, and I’m really glad that I did because I absolutely loved the changes! Saylor is a lot more likable in the updated version, making me root for their relationship a lot more. I feel like her relationship with Beck seems better in the updated version as well.
This book was really cute! I liked the general plot and how strong-willed and talented Saylor is. She felt like a real athlete about to begin her career. I did kind of hate her family, but so does she, so it works!
I also absolutely loved Beck! He was honestly adorable and he gave her the right amount of pushing and room to grow into the idea of a relationship. Another improvement between the two versions is that in the updated version, him traveling across the world for her made a lot more sense.
Overall, this was a fun read and I highly recommend not listening to the audiobook version!
