I started this book after falling in love with the author after reading “The Pucking Wrong…” series. Let me just say that this is nothing like those books. You can tell she has really grown in her writing between these books up to her current ones.
The storyline is a little lacking of the oompf that you get from her other books. The spice is more fade to black. It jumps around a lot from current to flashbacks, which I do like and is done well. I overall liked the book and started the second one right away. I probably wouldn’t recommend this book to my friends as it’s just not as spicy as the books they read. Is it a bad book? No not at all. I gave it 4* for a reason. I feel like it’s a really great book for someone just getting into darker romance and reverse harems as there isn’t any group scenes yet and more about each individual relationship she has with each of the guys.
