Did not finish book. Stopped at 39%.

It was really hard for me to decide whether I should drop this book or not, since I was so excited to read it. Unfortunately, the long-winded inner monologues were a real challenge. At first, I found them really helpful for explaining the characters' backgrounds but after a while, they started to get annoying. It's like simply telling the story, instead of showing it. There were like, 3 or more consecutive pages of just inner monologues, and some chapters have half of it. Scanning through them is just... not right. Eventually, I had to DNF the book. It really sucked because I was really looking forward to reading this.
