Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood

3.0

Ali has a type and it’s tall, white, buff, huge, with blank yet very emotional conflicting eyes. Compared to the love hypothesis I would rank this one higher. The romance isn’t as swoon worthy as EdenBrooke or some of the other classics but it’s a simple book to occupy time.

This follows Bee, a neuroscientist who is also a women’s right activities as she co-leads with Levi, a brooding guy who she knows from grad school. The love is a love at first sight trope but my biggest beef is the prolonged ignorance that drags out the blooming romance. What makes this book stand out above love hypothesis is the plot. The ending was more than just their romance and although it was predictable it was still quite interesting.

All the characters were unique and interesting enough but my favorites were the RA and side characters. Ali loves making her side characters strong and memorable.

Overall the book was a cute romance book but it wasn’t heart wrenching or worth any thought after the finishing the epilogue. A couple points for an epilogue, I’m a sucker for complete endings.
