The Invention of Sound by Chuck Palahniuk

3.0

What have I just read?
The Invention of Sound sees two storylines: a father who has spent his life looking for his missing daughter and Mitzi, who's job is to create the perfect scream for movie producers. Now, it could be so fun if only Mitzi wasn't a psychopath who tortures people whilst recording them and selling their screams to producers.
When the storylines merge into one is just an endless ride, a lie after another, people who you thought were friends don't even exist until the final act, the third part where you would think something should make sense, it doesn't.
I wasn't blown away by the ending to be honest, I did enjoy the whole book up until that point but it's definitely one of those books you would love to see as a movie so fingers crossed for that!!
