It seems like a morbid thing to say about this book but I thought it was really fun.

Reminiscent of Michael Crichton and Dan Brown, it is a fast-paced thriller with some teeth behind the scientific premise. I got slightly bogged down just past the middle (a lot of folks were getting killed and this rogue/suspended cop seemed to be getting away with too much) but I was enjoying it so much I was willing to overlook the "long-shot" aspects.

Some pretty graphic scenes (to me, anyway. The average thriller reader may find this stuff tame.) that I had to grit my teeth over but most things made sense in the scheme of the plot.

Even the ending wrapped things up well but I would not roll my eyes at a sequel.
