The Making of a Marchioness, Part I and II by Frances Hodgson Burnett

5.0

The Making of a Marchioness is my favourite book of all time; poor-but-honest girl makes good, shallow fashionable crowd exposed as frivolous idiots, true love, black magic, jealousy and British colonialism. What's not to like? Bloody marvellous.
