for claiming to be about Hamilton and Peggy, this book had a shockingly low amount of Hamilton in it. the book overall was good, but it didn’t really have an overarching plot line. i could never tell where the story was going to go next and it ended rather abruptly. that’s not a complete turn off, but probably just a minor annoyance of mine. i did really enjoy Peggy, Angelica, and Eliza, and their sister relationship. Catherine and Philip were also enjoyable, as were George and Martha Washington. this book kept me interested and i did enjoy the historical side of things, being about the American Revolution and all. the writing was engaging and descriptive without being too overbearing. overall, a solid read.
