Beautiful serene book, does not state anything new although, it has a light refreshing air to it.
Would be 5 stars if at times it did not feel like the author attempts at dumbing down profound ideas into fun-sized philosophical remarks instead. It felt like this was a children’s philosophy book, not in a bad way, but when compared to other works (Sartre, De Beauvoir, etc.) it falls short. Maybe it’s because it was very positive it almost felt naive and childish? but also some of the tones in the writing felt like it was belittling the reader’s intellect.
That aside, I loved this book. Excited to reread it at a time where I can read it in one sitting.
