I honestly really enjoyed the first book more than this one. I think the plot was similar to the first book, I wish there was more creativity there. The way Aliese switched between liking Bastion, liking the prince, then back to Bastion was weird. And the ending was extremely cheesy. The whole "lets sing a new song to defeat the bad guys!!!"
