Twilight for adults. This is a great take on this genre, Harkeness makes it her own and her attention to detail with the history aspects helps to give a lot of depth and realism to the world. Mathew and Diana are compelling characters both with their own unique perspective on the unfolding events. This is my second read through and I really enjoyed it, it feels like an elevated take on a genre I have read a lot of.
