The Ballad of Ami Miles by Kristy Dallas Alley

2.0

I feel like the idea of this book was good, but executed poorly unfortunately. The summary of thebook happens in just like...the first chapter. The pacing of the book is very wonky, with the first half of the book going insanely fast and the second half going very slow.

I also felt that the MC changing her ideals SO FAST was unrealistic. This girl grew up with like...what 8 people for 16 years? And she's able to change her ideas of life in like...a week? I mean good for her but like I said, just seems unrealistic.

Also sometimes the book delved into these page long like...preaching/speechy types of talks between two characters that just would jolt me out of the book world. They just didn't feel like natural conversations between two characters.
