I enjoyed this more than I thought I would.

I initially debated whether to continue reading because I didn't care for Rowan in the beginning so it was a nice decision having him be the one who falls first. It made him a much more likable character and it was a good balance to Sloane's more reserved nature. The two were well matched.

I do think this would have benefited from being a shorter book as it did drag in places but there were lots of sweet and spicy moments. I still felt like I wanted more from the romance since we get a lot of time skips and their feelings for each other build up largely off page so it didn't quite resonate with me the way I hoped it would. As for the gorier aspects, it was all definitely grosser than I expected but I at least have a high tolerance from consuming horror.

Overall I think if you read this book it requires some suspension of disbelief but the author did a good job of making a rom-com about serial killers.
