While I appreciate the artwork, the story itself left a lot to be desired. The story was absurd and that alone would be fine with me, but there was no satisfying conclusion nor any good plot twists to shock me. It felt like the author took a deadly fart once while walking through a fish market, and run with it.

In short, body horror and creepy fish with legs but with no substance to it. I definitely want to read more from this author but maybe starting with Gyo was not a good choice for me.
