Misconceptions: Truth, Lies, and the Unexpected on the Journey to Motherhood by Naomi Wolf

5.0

Really fantastic book, pretty balanced on the issue of hospital vs. homebirth, OB vs. midwives. There are things that we might wish Wolf had looked at more closely in the first writing - like understanding how particular her critique of the system affects only the people of her specific demographic - but I appreciate the un-romaticized view of pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the post-partum period.
