Did not finish book. Stopped at 36%.

I have tried so hard to read this book - so many attempts over the course of 2 or 3 years. But I just can't, despite the fact that the subject matter is my wheelhouse and I got through the first book just fine (albeit also quite slowly). But there's just something off about it to me - maybe it's just too self-indulgently edgy for me (without the associated fun payoff you can get through that style) at this point in my life.
