Fear Agent, Volume 1: Re-Ignition by Rick Remender

3.0

This is a fun, pulpy, action-packed space romp, exactly the of thing that Remender seems to do well. Remender, in my mind, is the guy that can take something standard in the genre and put a new spin on it. However, at least in this first trade, Fear Agent seems like standard pulp sci-fi with a familiar scruffy irreverent protagonist with tragedy in his past. The other reason I probably didn't enjoy this more was because I'm not a huge fan of monkey or giant brain aliens. It's still fun, and when I'm in the mood, I'll probably read more.
