Phewwwww this was a TOUGH read. I had to take a few breaks because it was just so sad sometimes, and I felt such rage in my body from *a certain elderly character* that I needed to remember she’s fictional πŸ˜… But I can’t remember the last time I read a book like this and I think I ended up loving it after all. It’s definitely made an impression on me.

β€œI knew then and there that my daughter would never kneel to anyone.” 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
