The Au Pair Affair by Tessa Bailey
5.0
This story follows Burgess who hires Talulah as an au pair but begins to fall in love with her. This picks up after book 1 of the series which could be read as a stand-alone but it’s so much better if you read book 1. I adored this book. It was so good that I just devoured the story and its MCs. I loved the storyline, setting, pacing, and everything that went into this book. The FMC deals with horrible trauma of her past and I loved seeing it in this book as she grows so much. This book is told from both Burgess and Taluluh’s pov.
Burgess is a hockey player and single father of a young girl. He’s such an amazing person whose caring and protective of those he loves. I loved seeing him grow but not as much as his crush. Taluluh is a fantastic character whose sunshine and everything sweet. I loved her development and seeing her try new things no matter how scary it is. There are many side characters in this book but I’m now invested in Sig and Chloe’s story because there’s something going on. The romance is single dad/nanny, age gap and he falls first with a lot of steamy scenes.
The ending was well done and I just loved everything about this book. It was such a fun read and everything I was expecting after reading book 1. I’m super excited to see what Bailey has in store for us for the next book because I know it’s going to be great.
