Wild Things

funny
medium-paced
It’s always sad when the actual romance itself is the thing you liked least in a romance book. Love the found family vibes, the idea of buying an old house in the countryside, and starting a queer commune with your friends. The chickens and the renovations and the instagram vlogging all had me hooked, but the friends-to-lovers romance left so much to be desired.
There was some plot points here that I feel were resolved quickly out of convenience and not because they actually would have been resolved in real life (esp the stuff with the main characters parents). The conflict between her and the friend she’s in love with felt dragged out and a lot of the separation between them was unnecessary. It would have made more sense as a coming out story.
Cute vibes, just not the romance for me!
