The Accidental Guardian by Mary Connealy

4.0

I love a book where the hero has a dog (or in this case a wolf??).

Mary Connealy's book are written in a similar style; at least the ones I've read. This book is no different. They take place in near isolation with just a few settlements around. The women are tough. The men are honest - except for the "bad guys."

In this book, Trace is on his way home from his first cattle drive. On his way is discovers a two women and two children that survived the massacre of their wagon train. Trace soon realizes that this is the handiwork of the same individual's who killed Trace's father and the others on the wagon train.

Trace brings the women, sisters Deb and Gwen, and children back to his ranch. Attraction soon grows between Deb and Trace. But danger lurks as the outlaws soon realize that there were survivors and an eyewitness.

I am looking forward to reading the other books in this series
