Wow! What a great read! This is one of those books that's unique enough to set itself apart from the dozens of others books I'll read in a year. It is well written, very spicy, but also loving and so funny! This is my first Navessa Allen novel, but she has proven that she can write! This won't be my last. Five enthusiastic stars and five 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.
Edit: I just finished listening to the audiobook version of this story. I was one of the lucky people who got to read this as an ARC when it came out back in January. It was my first five star rate of the year. It remains my favorite read this year. So I just listened to the audiobook version of this story and it was so well done! It is probably my favorite contemporary audiobook read. Definitely top two. No spoilers, but this is a very well done book and audiobook. Go listen! Or read! Or both!
