This was a fresh take on the WWII historical novel. Focused on The American Library in Paris. The quirky cast of characters at the library kept some lightness in an otherwise sad story. I found the writing to be particularly wonderful, with a way of capturing the time periods and the settings in a way that just brought everything to life.
