Hood Feminism: Notes from the Women That a Movement Forgot by Mikki Kendall

Did not finish book. Stopped at 64%.
This felt like reading a teenager’s diary. There are sentencs that are repeated in different ways, almost like there is a word count that needed to be fulfilled. The way it’s written feels like there was no editor involved.

There are references at the end of the book but nothing is cited in the chapters. It comes off as just a stream of consciousness without feeling like there is any backing to what is being said. It’s like we’re just sifting through her thoughts on things instead of being educated on the issues.

There is a lot of great info to be communicated here but the communication of it is just bad.
