V.E. Schwab is such an excellent writer - the simplified premise of the book is that someone discovers how to give themselves superpowers and everyone goes crazy, but the execution of it is flawless. The characters are all riddled with flaws which are extremely well integrated into their personalities and we see them develop and worsen over time. I rooted for every single of the them and my allegiance flipped multiple times and I ended up hating them all. I’ll certainly be reading more of V.E Schwab.
