Bad Alpha
by Kathryn Moon
I've loved all of Kathryn Moon's previous Sweetverse books & Bad Alpha is no different - I adore Eve and her men.
We met Eve, the Alpha female assassin, in Lola's duet & it seemed like there was more to her then. I'm so glad we got her story and with it comes a dynamic we haven't seen before in the Sweetverse: a female Alpha (Eve), her bonded male Omega (Adam) and the pack of three lone male Alphas (Garrett, Jamie and Rory).
To be honest, I immediately liked the other 3 Alphas more than I did Eve (just because of some of her actions & how she treated Adam) but as they all learned to cooperate and coexist under one roof, she absolutely grew on me. I think her bond with Jamie and letting him be the Alpha let me see that she did have that vulnerable side to her.
Sweet Omega Adam just wants everyone to be happy & to rescue his sister - I loved seeing his bond with Garrett (he might be my favorite?!) and the group play with Eve/Adam/Garrett was wonderful. Speaking of his sister, I would have loved to see more of a resolution/rescue but I feel like we'll get that in a future book. Fingers crossed!
